Year number two was a little better. During the off season some negotiating was done to bring WR Dave Parks from the 49ers.
The offense showed signs of improvement. Don McCall rushed for
637 yards and had 4.1 average. Billy Kilmer emerged as the
starting quarterback while hitting 53% of his passes for 2060
yards and 15 TDs. Danny Abramowicz led the team in receiving for
the second straight year (54 catches-890 yards-16.4 yards per
catch-7 tds). For the defense, defensive tackle Dave Rowe makes
the Pro Bowl.
The 4 wins and third place finish in the Century Division the
best yet for a second year expansion team.
