By 1969 the New Orleans Saints appeared that they were ready to take on the NFL. The 5 victories they posted during the 1969 NFL season had been the most ever by a 3 year-old NFL team. And in 1969 the Saints had actually sent 5 players to represent them in the Pro Bowl.
Pictured above is the team’s leading ground gainer Andy Livingston, who had just joined the Saint’s after 3 seasons with the Bears along with offensive lineman Jake Kupp who had joined the Saints in 1967 after brief stays with the Cowboys, Redskins and Falcons.
