First Ever Playoff Win In Saints History

Coming out of the 90s and the dismal years of Mike Ditka, the 2000 season was a much awaited for step in the right direction for New Orleans Saints Fans.

The 2000 New Orleans Saints featured a fiery young coach in Jim Haslett and young dynamic quarterback in Aaron Brooks that Saints fans had never experienced before. Both offense and defense made plays and it seemed that after 30 years of heartbreak, the ball was finally bouncing in the Saints direction.

It was all these things that led to a Western Division title, the franchise’s fifth NFL playoff appearance and first ever playoff victory over the heavily favored St. Louis Rams. 1999 NFL Champions, the Rams boasted an explosive offense with Kurt Warner at the helm and wide array of offensive weapons that was ranked #1 in the NFL.

Here is another video compliments of galaxies.

Here is the WWL special that aired after the victory with highlights and interviews with the players.
