Week 13 had just concluded and for the first time in almost 10 years the New Orleans Saints were entertaining hopes of a first ever playoff appearance. They had just beat-down of the Buccaneers to the tune of 44-34. It was the sixth straight win and their record was 9-3. The best the Who Dat Nation had ever seen up to that point.
The picture above shows defensive lineman Frank Warren (#73) and linebacker Pat Swilling converging on rookie quarterback Vinnie Testaverde for a sack. It was Testaverde’s first ever NFL start and the Saints defense managed to get to him 3 times and force 2 interceptions that day though the new signal caller did manage 2 touchdown passes and 1 score on the ground.
