New Orleans Saints Defensive Tackle La’ Roi Glover in 2000

One reason for the success of the 2000 Saints Season was play of players like defensive lineman La’ Roi Glover. Formerly an Oakland Raider, Glover joined New Orleans in 1998 during the Ditka regime but really cam into his own that first year in 2000 when Jim Haslett took over. His 17 sacks on the year were tops in league and he earned All-Pro Honors. Those 17 sacks also tied him with Pat Swilling for the All-Time New Orleans Saints Team record for sacks in a season.
He left New Orleans after the 2001 season to play in Dallas for 4 seasons and finished his 13 year NFL career with the St. Louis Cardinals.
He is still #7 on the Saints All-Time Career Sacks with 50.
