New Orleans Saints – Philadelphia Eagles 1967

Rookie Saints receiver Danny Abramowicz makes one of his patented diving catches he was known for in his career with the Saints as cornerback Aaron Martin defends. Played at Franklin Field Danny had a total of 4 catches for 51 yards and 2 touchdowns. Earlier that season the Saints had defeated the Eagles at Tulane Stadium in a 31-24 contest for the very first ever win for a Saints team. Abramowicz would also lead the Saints in receiving his rookie year with 50 catches.

This week the Drew Brees and the Saints are set to do battle with Nick Foles and the Eagles in the NFC’s Divisional Playoffs. It will be the 27th time the Eagles and  Saints have met. The Eagles hold the edge with 16 regular season wins (out of 28)  but the Saints have won 2 of the 3 post-season contests that the 2 teams have faced each other.

I've been following the Saints since a kid in the 70s watching the likes of Archie Manning and Tommy Myers.
We may not have as grandiose a history as some NFL teams, but there are scores of memories the New Orleans Saints have given to their fans and I have done my best to record them here at New Orleans Saints History.
