Some Footage from The New Orleans Saints First Exhibition Game

Another short segment of video featuring the New Orleans Saints and clips from the sidelines during their first exhibition game in 1967 against the Los Angeles Rams at Anaheim Stadium. The Saints lost 7-16 but would win their next 5 exhibition games. Unfortunately, the regular season wouldn’t go as well. The Saints didn’t win a regular season game until November 5 with a 31-24 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Tulane stadium. The 1967 campaign ended with an 3-11 record.

This short video from kwm380 shows reaction from players and coaches along the Saints sideline, namely head coach Tom Fears along with commentary from NFL Films producer Ed Sabol.

I've been following the Saints since a kid in the 70s watching the likes of Archie Manning and Tommy Myers.
We may not have as grandiose a history as some NFL teams, but there are scores of memories the New Orleans Saints have given to their fans and I have done my best to record them here at New Orleans Saints History.
